Izzi D’Esposito is an independent American singer-songwriter & producer who splits their time between NYC and Oslo. When they’re not releasing a blend of lyric forward folk & EDM tracks as Sum Cargo, they’ve been working on upcoming releases with producers, DJs, & artists in Norway, the US and the UK.

With songs featured on Norway’s NRK P3 (Sum Cargo’s Rewind and You Got This, Kid), their direct, narrative driven lyrics and lush productions have found a passionate audience around the world.

They studied songwriting & production at the Lillehammer Institute of Music Production and Industries under the mentorship of Amund Bjørklund, and are an alum of the Willis Wonderland Foundation Next Level Songwriters Workshop. Also, Izzi has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Dramatic Writing.

Their song You Got This, Kid was recently a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.
